Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Find Me a Ref platform (the "Service"), operated by McTip IT Limited (company number 07291011, registered office at 2B Penn House, Broad Street, Hereford, HR4 9AP) ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Who can use the Service

If you are registering as a club or an Association, or acting on their behalf, you must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement.

Referees may register from age 14. If you are a referee under 18, a parent or guardian must provide their details and confirm consent at sign-up, including for payment arrangements (see our Safeguarding page), and remains responsible for your use of the Service. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and, where applicable, that you are authorised to act on behalf of any club or organisation you represent.

Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms.

The Service

Find Me a Ref connects referees, clubs and leagues to post fixtures, match referees, and manage assignments and payments. We provide the platform that facilitates these arrangements. The officiating agreement for any given fixture is between the referee and the club or organiser, not with us.

Referee matching and assignments

We use information such as grade, location and availability to match referees to fixtures. Matching does not guarantee that a referee will be found for every fixture, or that any particular referee will accept. Referees may accept or decline fixtures at their discretion, subject to any commitments they make.

Payments

• Payments are processed through a third-party payment provider. By making a payment, you also agree to that provider's terms.
• Referee match fees and any agreed travel expenses are payable by the club or organiser as set out for each fixture.
• Any platform or subscription fees will be made clear before you are charged.
• You are responsible for ensuring payment details are accurate. We are not liable for failed payments caused by incorrect details.
• Refunds, where applicable, are handled in line with our stated refund practices and the payment provider's rules.

Your responsibilities

• Provide accurate fixture, availability and credential information.
• Carry out your own checks and comply with your own safeguarding obligations (see our Safeguarding page).
• Use the Service lawfully and in line with our Acceptable Use policy.
• Honour arrangements you make with other users through the Service.

Availability of the Service

We aim to keep the Service running reliably but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw features, and carry out maintenance, from time to time.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the conduct of other users, including a referee's performance or a club's payment of fees. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to others or to the platform.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will take reasonable steps to let you know. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
