Some fixtures need more than one official, a centre referee plus assistant referees, or a second umpire. Find Me a Ref supports this per fixture category, so every fixture posted under that category automatically carries the same set of roles.
1. Open the Pricing tab
From your dashboard, go to the Pricing tab where your fixture categories and fees are defined ("Fixture Categories & Fees"). Each category has its own nested "Additional officials" section.
2. Add each role and its fee
For a category like "11-a-side adult", add a role (e.g. "Assistant Referee 1"), give it its own fee, and repeat for as many roles as that category needs. Save.
3. New fixtures pick this up automatically
Any fixture posted under that category from then on, whether through Quick Add or the repeat-weekly option, gets those additional roles attached as Open slots alongside the primary referee. CSV bulk import doesn't read this configuration, so imported fixtures only get the primary referee slot.
4. Filling the slots
Each additional-official slot is assigned the same way the primary referee is: manually from the fixture card, or automatically if your plan includes auto-assign. Referees can accept or decline an offered slot themselves, and mark it completed once the match is played, independently of the primary referee's own status.
5. Getting paid
Each official is paid separately when the club settles the fixture, itemised on the checkout so it's clear who's being paid what. If an assistant marks their slot complete only after the fixture's already been paid, the club sees a small top-up charge covering just that outstanding fee.
